"A boat? Could it be a boat from the Land of Carefree?"

Qin Mu was somewhat excited. The other enormous boat that the Village Chief and the others had found was already destroyed and could not go to the Land of Carefree. If this boat was from the Land of Carefree, could he not use it to return to his homeland?

Two white bats led the way. These two had strange temperaments, flying silently. If one was not careful, even Qin Mu could not see where they went. However, the next moment, with a few splashes, the two white bats would hang upside down from trees or cliff walls, then flap their wings and fly away silently.

The life in this Nether Valley was incredibly peculiar, and its methods of attack were very bizarre. However, the two white bats were the guardians of this place and knew everything about it. With them leading the way, Qin Mu's journey was safe and sound.

Sometimes these two brothers would even go to catch the strange creatures of the Nether Valley and bring them back to eat.

"Hey, luck really is unstoppable! We actually ran into a moth turtle!"

Qin Mu saw the two brothers fly over a lake, then dive into the water and drag out a colossal creature. This was a hexagonal insect with hexagonal patterns on its body, very regular, and with two large pincers in front, quite formidable.

But on the back of this strange insect were white cocoon eggs, each taller than a person. Some of the cocoon eggs had already opened, like long, thin eggs with a neat lid lifted off.

The moth turtle's strength was astonishing, and it was unwilling to be captured by the two brothers. Its two large pincers clacked and snapped, the air being cut through with thunderous booms, and streaks of lightning were squeezed out, crackling around the moth turtle in a terrifying display.

The moth turtle also spat out streams of venom, which fell to the ground and dissolved everything it touched, whether soil or rock!

Qin Mu felt a chill in his heart. This moth turtle's strength was probably not much weaker than the Dragon Qilin's, and its venom was especially terrifying, dissolving everything!

The Dragon Qilin's abilities were already powerful enough, somewhere between the Seven Stars realm and the Celestial Being realm, but this moth turtle's toxicity was probably something even a Celestial Being realm expert could not withstand. Of course, whether the venom could even be sprayed onto a Celestial Being realm expert was another question.

The two white bats were even stronger. Fu Yuqiu emitted a sonic wave from his mouth, directly stunning the moth turtle. Then the two brothers jumped onto the moth turtle's back and opened two cocoon eggs, as if opening eggshell hatches.

These two white bats jumped in, moaned comfortably, then waved to Qin Mu and the Dragon Qilin: "Come in, quick!"

Qin Mu hesitated for a moment, then took the Dragon Qilin and jumped onto the moth turtle's back.

Fu Yuchun poked his fuzzy head out of the cocoon shell, looking like a newly furred mouse, his ears twitching as he said: "Quickly find a cocoon and hide inside. This moth turtle is about to wake up. This fellow is a good swimmer and is the tyrant of the water. It can take us from the lake into the river, and then follow the river to that deep pit! Its nest is there!"

Qin Mu hesitated: "Can't we just stand on its back?"

Fu Yuqiu said: "This fellow is very alert, but it especially loves its children. If we hide inside these cocoons, it won't attack us. If anything else attacks us, it will take care of them."

Qin Mu looked at the Dragon Qilin and asked: "Can you shrink your body?"

The Dragon Qilin was massive, though two zhang smaller than this moth turtle. With its current size, it definitely could not hide inside a cocoon.

The Dragon Qilin snorted, shook its body, and slowly shrank: "The Cult Master underestimates me. I was taught by the Ancestor after all. I can change size as I please."

It shrank to the size of a large dog and could go no further. It continued to push its technique with its big belly, straining for a moment, then said sheepishly: "Cult Master, will this do?"

Qin Mu looked at this round, ball-like creature, chose the largest cocoon, lifted the lid, and tried to pick it up and stuff it inside.

"I haven't been carried in a long time," the Dragon Qilin said nostalgically.

Qin Mu tightened his grip on its belly and pushed down hard, but the Dragon Qilin got stuck, unable to be pushed in or pulled out, with half its body still exposed.

Qin Mu grew angry and slammed the eggshell-like white lid onto the Dragon Qilin's head: "Hold this pose and don't move!"

The Dragon Qilin, with the cocoon shell on its head, didn't dare move a muscle, and said pitifully: "Cult Master, you won't reduce my rations, will you? I'm still growing..."

Qin Mu also opened a cocoon and jumped in. Inside was like egg white, and soaking in it was surprisingly comfortable, like taking a miraculous elixir.

He felt some fine energy seeping in through his pores, penetrating his muscles, blood vessels, meridians, and organs, nourishing his body and skin.

Even more, this energy reached into his soul, nourishing his soul!

Qin Mu was surprised and tried to activate the Tyrant Body Three Pills Technique. Immediately, he felt more energy from the egg-white-like liquid, making his primordial spirit increasingly resilient.

"This egg white is several times better than any elixir. If I could hide inside and cultivate, my primordial spirit would become exceptionally powerful!"

He looked at the other cocoon eggs. Most of the eggs on this moth turtle were already empty, presumably because the moth turtles inside had matured and emerged. Only two or three immature eggs remained.

"Good stuff. I'll steal these eggs when we get there!"

Just as he thought this, the giant moth turtle woke up, shook its head, then dove into the lake.

This lake was a tributary of one of the valley's rivers. The moth turtle submerged and swam from the tributary into the main channel, flowing downstream toward the confluence of the two rivers.

The river water was also strange, filled with all manner of Netherworld life: long worms covered in eyes, big fish that were all muscle with no scales, strange insects covered in tentacles with round mouths at the tips filled with hook-like spines, and some glowing things that looked like souls drifting back and forth.

Qin Mu also saw some lotus flowers floating on the river. Some of the lotuses had withered and produced seed pods, and from the holes in each pod, chubby, fair babies emerged, bare-bottomed, dancing and giggling with innocent joy.

Suddenly, one of the babies opened its mouth, and a tongue six or seven zhang long shot out, wrapping around a strange fish in the water. The tongue was hollow, and in an instant, it sucked the strange fish dry, leaving only fish bones to drift down to the bottom.

That baby, having eaten its fill, danced and giggled again... [content truncated]
