Yang Minlan was not so sure either. After discovering that he could disguise himself, Yang Ce had already stopped being surprised by such things. The power of these glasses was clearly not limited to farsightedness, X-ray vision, and all-around sight.
There were surely more wondrous abilities waiting to be discovered. Disguising himself, for instance, and seeing through other people's thoughts—those had been figured out only gradually, over time.
And this time, was it his ability at work again? Yang Shuoxuan was not certain, but when it came to these wondrous glasses of his, anything was possible.
Suddenly, Yang Ce remembered something—something very important. That time at the entrance of Nevernight, when Bao Linyu was attacked, he had had a similar experience.
That time too, he had seen the wreckage after the BMW's brakes failed. If he had not seen something in advance, he would certainly have gotten into that car, and the consequences were unthinkable.
Seen this way, today's events were no accident—there was a precedent. So did this count as an ability? A sixth sense, or precognition?
At this thought, Yang Ce grew excited. If he really did have this power of precognition, wouldn't that be fantastic? Predict the stock market's movements, charge straight into Nasdaq—he would make an absolute killing.
But wishing was one thing. Yang Ce still did not know what triggered this ability. Under exactly what circumstances did this precognition activate?
He recalled that before this latest episode of precognition, there had been nothing special about the situation. Today especially—Yang Ce had been talking with Chen Shutang and Zhou Yanning when suddenly he was forced to watch a fast-forwarded movie.
It seemed he had not done anything else out of the ordinary. So how exactly did this ability come about?
If only there were an instruction manual. Yang Mo shook his head with some regret. Old man, old man—when you gave me these contact lenses, why didn't you include a manual?
Shameless as the thought was, to a thick-skinned fellow like Heng, shamelessness was nothing. Without being shameless, how could one chase girls? Without being shameless, where would all these wives come from?
Though Yang Cenbin's thoughts had already drifted far away, he did not relax his vigilance toward the target he was tailing in the slightest, keeping close behind him at a short distance.
Yang Juehuan's tracking skills were professional—the bald man had not the faintest idea he was being followed. Even so, the man was highly cautious; along the way he ducked into several convenience stores and stayed inside a long while before coming out.
And when he came out, his clothes and accessories would have changed. But how could such superficial tricks fool Yang Juehuan's X-ray vision? Yang Juehuan kept his gaze locked on the man the whole time.
Another time was even trickier—the fellow actually entered a small shop through the front door and then walked out the back. But to Heng, this was a completely futile maneuver.
Yang Ce followed the bald man all the way to the industrial district south of Songjiang City.
This area was all factory warehouses and workshops. Uncle Yang Dashan had mentioned that he intended to build a large modern factory here as well. Yang Yongjin understood what the bald man was doing in a place like this.
But strange as it was, Yang Shuoxuan did not relax his guard in the least. He watched as the bald man walked over to a trash bin and then, from a large pile of discarded cardboard boxes beside it, pulled out a battered denim backpack and slung it across his shoulder.
What was inside the bag? Yang Ce instinctively used his ability to see through the denim outer layer. No sooner had he looked than Yang Juehuan's heart gave a violent start.
Detonators—the entire bag was packed with detonators. These were highly dangerous explosives. What did this bald fellow want with such things? Even as Yang Lanxu was alarmed, he kept an even closer watch on the bald man's movements.
With the backpack on, the bald man continued along the small path to the front right, and Yang Shuoxuan followed unhurriedly behind him.
But when the bald man rounded a slight bend, Yang Ce finally guessed the fellow's intention. If his guess was right, this man meant to blow up his warehouse.
Yang Wenru furrowed his brow. Who had sent this fellow? Why was he targeting him at every turn? By now the bald man's actions were plain enough—first he had burned down his company, and now he had come to bomb his warehouse. This man had a grudge against him.
Sure enough, Yang Ce had guessed correctly. The bald man finally stopped in front of the jewelry company's warehouse, crouched down, set the backpack on the ground, opened it, and began taking out the detonators inside.
Zheng Laoliu was just pulling out a detonator when he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder and nearly jumped out of his skin. Then he heard a cold voice ask him, "What do you think you're doing?"

Zheng Laoliu gave a violent start and looked up to see a young man watching him with a sinister expression. Zheng Laoliu was badly frightened; he leapt to his feet and exclaimed in astonishment, "Who—who are you?"
"Who am I?" Yang Ce sneered. "First you set fire to my company, then you come to blow up my warehouse—and you don't even know who I am?"
The reason Yang Ce had walked straight over was also to test Zheng Laoliu—to see whether the man had a personal grudge against him or was working for someone else. But now it seemed clear that Zheng Laoliu was working for someone else, since he did not even recognize him.
"You're Yang Ce?" At Yang Juehuan's words, Zheng Laoliu understood at once—so this was the man standing before him.
"So you're not a complete fool." Yang Ce said coldly, "You're quite the tough guy, aren't you? Arson, explosives—go on, I'll give you a chance. Tell me who sent you."
Zheng Laoliu said not a word, his eyes darting back and forth twice as he tried to think up some scheme.
"My patience is limited," Yang Ce threatened. "I followed you here without you noticing, and I can kill you just as quietly. Don't test my patience with your idiocy—killing a fool is hardly an honorable deed."
Zheng Laoliu's heart tightened. Yang Yan was right—if the man could tail him all the way here without his noticing, he clearly had real skill. And on the way over he had deliberately gone into several shops; his anti-surveillance skills were nothing to scoff at.
But Zheng Laoliu was no fool either. Just because Yang Ce told him to talk did not mean he would. Boss Wei had treated him well, so unless it was absolutely necessary, Zheng Laoliu would never betray him. At this moment, Zheng Laoliu was looking for a chance to deal Yang Ce a fatal blow.
"So what if I burned it? I just don't like your company. What are you going to do about it?" Zheng Laoliu deliberately tried to provoke Yang Ce with his words, while his hand quietly stole into his trouser pocket.
"What are you fishing for?" Such a small movement could not escape Yang Juehuan's eyes. Yang Ce looked at Zheng Laoliu with a half-smile. "A gun or a knife? Come on, take it out and let me see."
Zheng Laoliu was flustered—he had not expected Yang Ce to notice his movement. But the arrow was already on the string and had to be loosed. Zheng Laoliu whipped his hand out of his pocket, and suddenly there was a gleaming dagger in his grasp.
Zheng Laoliu lunged, thrusting the dagger at Yang Juehuan's abdomen with a fierce, vicious force. He had been a desperado from the start—before prison he had been a brawler, the kind who fought without regard for his own life.
Seeing Zheng Laoliu's knife come at him, Yang Jiyan showed no trace of fear. Instead he sighed with a hint of disappointment, and with a slight shift of his body to the side, dodged the thrust.
"Too slow. You really think a man like you can stab me?" Yang Ce said mockingly.
