Chapter 188 — Who Can Tell Male from Female

. " Some hundred zhang away, in the dense forest, Shen Mu crouched in the crown of a great tree, his eyes fixed on the transformed Long Jiaonan. "The Yulong School's uncanny arts can actually shed an old skin and take a new body. But isn't Long Jiaonan said to be the son of the Dragon King of the Yulong School?
How is he a plump-breasted woman. . . " In that instant when he had hidden behind the tree, he had flung his robe over himself and teleported away, dodging Long Jiaonan's killing blow.
But his cultivation was not high, and he could teleport no great distance — two hundred zhang at most — so he had not escaped this mountain forest. What astonished him most was this mystic art Long Jiaonan practiced. Long Jiaonan had been wounded, yet after shedding his skin there was not the slightest mark on him.
And of course, the Long Jiaonan who crawled out of that skin was stark naked, without a stitch; only then did Shen Mu notice that his body was not like his own — it was like that of a woman with a seductive figure. "Her chest is trained far more sturdily than mine.
I've never managed to train to that point. " Shen Mu marveled inwardly.
"Is he a man or a woman?
Or is she a woman, and the Dragon King wanted a son, so he named her Jiaonan — 'the tender boy'? The Dragon King must have raised her as a boy, and raised her into this strange creature. " His gaze remained fixed on Long Jiaonan, unblinking. To blink now, in the opening and closing of an eye, would betray his position, and Long Jiaonan would easily catch his exact location.
Long Jiaonan's divine power was so overbearing and fierce that he was no match for him — or her — at all. And the teleporting robe could be used only three or four times before his cultivation was spent; it would be hard to escape Long Jiaonan's pursuit. Yet to keep watching Long Jiaonan was no solution either.
An expert like him had extremely keen senses, and would most likely follow his gaze to his position.
Long Jiaonan was still dressing himself piece by piece, his back to Shen Mu.
On the skin at the nape of her neck fine goosebumps had risen. She giggled and said, "You're staring at my neck.
Is my neck pretty? " Shen Mu's pupils shrank. The goosebumps on the back of Long Jiaonan's neck were slowly narrowing in range — she had already fixed his exact position!
Shen Mu covered himself with his robe. A tremendous boom sounded at his ear, and his figure vanished in the explosion of divine power.
Long Jiaonan, robe half open, drew back her palm.
The giant serpent bore her there with a roar, but found no trace of Shen Mu. Suddenly she raised her head and saw a man in the air, legs flying, racing away on the void. "You can't get away!
" The giant serpent beneath her feet spewed demonic breath and soared into the sky in pursuit of Shen Mu.
In midair the two of them saw the state of Tianbo City and were appalled.
The city built upon the mountains had been utterly destroyed; in its place stood an altar built of blood and bone! The Dutian Demon King stood upon the altar, dealing death to two men: one was the Dragon King of the Yulong School, with that flood dragon of his, and the other was the sect-master-level being of the Divine Bridge realm. The two were in dire peril, liable at any moment to be slain by the Dutian Demon King.
From the Demon King's mouth came demonic speech, more obscure and profound than the demonic speech Shen Mu had used to summon him! Above Tianbo City the sky was spinning, twisting; suddenly lightning flashed and thunder rolled, and the sky was torn open, revealing a dim dark space!
Something seemed to stir within that dark space, and suddenly a strange being with two heads and two eyes flew out of the madly whirling vortex. The strange being halted in the air and shouted a few words at the vortex behind it.
Hum. Countless black dots spewed from the vortex, a dense black mass, surging toward Tianbo City.
Those were the heavenly demons of Dutian! Tens of thousands of heavenly demons were pouring in from Dutian.
These demons were slaughtering one another, their corpses raining down from the sky, their bones piling upon the altar, making the altar of Tianbo City grow ever larger and taller.
A rain of blood began to fall from the sky.
Some of the demons were clearly of higher rank; bearing scepters, they fell from the heavens and landed upon the altar of Tianbo City, where they circled it chanting ancient, obscure demonic speech.
At once countless gorgeous runes appeared above the altar, blazing with light.
"I may have brought about a disaster greater than drugging the Grand Academy. . .
" Shen Mu thought, the corner of his eye twitching.
